We visited the Andean school which was built by World Expeditions and presented the children with books, pens, pencils etc which some of us had brought from Australia. The extra weight was worthwhile when we saw the expressions on the children’s faces. I could never imagine children in Australia smiling so broadly at being given an exercise book and pen!

Our Vietnam special journey is a wonderful adventure covering the highlights of Vietnam North to South as well as excursions away from the more tourist trails. The tour starts in Hanoi, one of South East Asia’s most beautiful cities; you’ll visit all the sites including Asia’s oldest university, the Temple of Literature and Ho Chi Minh’s Museum before leaving the city to explore the spectacular Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin. We enjoy a 2 day cruise aboard the deluxe Bhaya Classic boat through huge limestone karst scenery. Further south the old Imperial city of Hue reveals Vietnam’s historic superlatives while the seaside town of Hoi An provide further inspiration to our travels. Here we can relax by the beach or shop until you drop in the old quarter. Following on, you’ll visit the French colonial hill town of Dalat and the bustling Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). To complete this superb adventure we’ll take a side trip to the historic Cu Chi tunnels. A great all round adventure through this enchanting country with a multitude of experiences that will appeal to every traveler.
